Forum - Help! CL lie about me

Help! I was talking to a jerk that saw my website and complained angrily about my rates. He was saying things like I hope you get busted or raped. So, I blocked his email and IM.

Now he's written a post on CL saying I am an undercover cop. Shit. This could ruin me before I've even begun. Some of you know and have read what I have sacrificed to be doing this.

I flagged the ad and sent it to the harrassment help desk. I don't want to post a counter ad because 1. who would believe me and 2. It may draw cop's attention to me.

What the heck do I do? Help, please. Everything could be going down the freaking toilet if too many people see this.

Just imagine, how many people have seen this CL ad? Way below even 1% of the hobbyists living in your area. Now, even those who seen it were too horny to pay much attention to the ad. Perhaps, 10% of the first 1% read the ad. But the memory is amazing thing, it tends to clean itself after a while of all the garbage. So even those 5-10 of guys who might read the ad will hardly remember it tomorrow. And most of the hobbyist don't discuss the hobby with their colleagues or friends... so this incident is pretty harmless if the CL staff remove the ad quickly.

I wright this not just to comfort you, of course, such a thing would annoy anyone. But do not overestimate it. It's a big job to ruin independent escort's business and he's hardly able to do it. Of course, you will have to keep an eye on the popular boards and escort review sites for a while. But to have your business ruined, you have to let the false reviews and reports to be up for a considerably long time, weeks or months. Several days won't harm actually.

Just bookmark all the places where the false reviews may appear and visit them once a day. It won't take over 5 minutes a day. Ask site administrators to ban or blacklist the guy as soon as he post anything about you. And you're right, if the info is removed quickly, no explanations're necessary. They will only add oil to the fire and draw the attention.

He wants you to panic and to fall to his feet, just ignore the moron. He needs your attention, emails etc. to continue. With his postings being removed promptly and no response on your side, he will get tired of his vain efforts...

You can also submit his details to client blacklists. We are launching one these days, so this guy could be the first blacklisted client in our database ;)

My Being new, it just really freaked me out. Does this kind of thing happen often to escorts? Until I have some reviews under my belt, I feel as though I am on shakey ground. I believe some are on their way, but the clients haven't gotten to writing them yet.

This is the main board on which I participate. I know about TRB and TER. Are there others I should look at? I'm kinda doubting that this guy is a member of any boards (didn't seem saavy enough for that), but I do want to check anyway.

I can either give you his email handle now or wait for the list. He definitely seemed like he had some anger management issues. I feel extremely grateful, at this point, that rates for my time were too high so that I didn't actually meet the guy. could have been dealing with much worse if that were the case. Yikes!

Yes, this kind of problems is pretty common. We dealt with hundreds of similar libel cases.

Well hopefully after having gone through this now, I have learned some lessons, I am better prepared should it happene again.

Don't worry because there are some master flaggers who flag everyone advertisement down because they have nothing else to do. But at the end those have no life.

It was probably a jealous competitor not even a guy.
