Ladies, If you have a website, do you feel that people take the time to read what you have on it?
Hobbyist, when choosing a provider, do you actaully read what she has to say, or do you look at the donation and pics and that's about it?
I'd really like to know that, because I get lots of people call me or email me and ask me this, that or the other thing that is already answered on my website...and I also say on my FAQ page (if anyone took the time to read it) that I will not answer things that are already answered on my website...
I have gotten more than a few nasty phone calls and emails about this...because some people give me shytt like this..
((((and this is one of the nice things they say)))"I don't have time to read what you have there, can't you just tell me?"
To this I say....the time it took you to write/call me OR whatever, you could have simple clicked on my FAQ page and found that answer...who thinks that I am wrong, or could be more understanding or whatever?
I feel like this...I work my website myself, and I put a lot of time into it, I tried to make it very informative and very easy to navigate and understand...
So, why should I not be a little ticked off when someone says (not so nicely) "Just tell me, I dont have time to read it"?
OR the ever so popular....What's the password to your pics..
One thing for certain though, those ppl that constantly do this to me, I've learned that they really don't want an appointment, they are just bored for the most part, and I've also learned over the years to not let it get to me so much...
Sometimes though, it does because they are wasting my time, and taking time away from someone who truly does want to see me, and will do things the way I have them outlined on my website...
Your thoughts.
Kisses, Delicious
So true, so true. I'd say the serious hobbyists read what is on our sites to know if we offer what they are seeking or to get familiar with us before making their decision to come and see us, but for the most part I do believe they only go to look at the pics then they e-mail possibly interested in meeting or not. Maybe they feel that is the contact they want after viewing the pics and their final release. lol
But on the other hand I have seen men that do not read and when I tell them I do not offer this and that and to read what is on my menu they still e mail back and say ok you still have enough on your menu and I guess I will have to live with that. Maybe some preffer the more direct approach in correspondance and feel that what is on our websites is a planned out marketing approach and not the real us. But, non the less they should still read it. But some say they do not like to read too much.
Even on forums such as this if the writing is too long they will not read it and skip to the smaller posts. lol
So anything you do put on a web page do not make it too wordy. Or just simply put a section stating what you provide. I found my list of acronyms of what I provide has helped some, but yet again not totally. :( I'd say only about 15% not much of an improvement. ohhhh well.
