It's that time again when all we will hear or see is Ads for some politician who wants to stay in power and ones who want to get in. I don't care if you are a Republican or a Demorcrate just, Please, register to vote and vote against the Career Politician in office. CNN released a report that there are 46 millionaires in Congerss and only 6 or so were millionairs before they were elected and 23 in the Senate! These Politicians fuck us over daily and get rich off it. Please Kick them out of office.
I've been a Democrate since 1971 when you had to be 21 to vote and I'll be dammed if I will vote for Barbara Boncer Boxer even if it cost my life. She's one of the most cooked politicos in office, she bounce millions of dollars of checks in the House Banking Scandal (which most of you aren't old enough to know) and we paid for it. The tax payer. Politicians only pay $1.25 an hour for child care and we pay the rest. It is time to show the Politicians we are tired of their shit and we are't going to take it any more. They've health care, private retirement because they aren't required to pay Social Security and you want to talk about retirement pay that's higher than their pay while in office. Please, kick them out. |

The Democrap Party, under Obummer, Biden, Pelosi, Reid, Rangel, as well as career politicians have shown they're inept & incompetent at best as they NO longer represent the people. They've migrated to more of a socialist country run by a bunch of kno-nothing morons led by Barack 'the moronic, nincompoop' Obummer & Joe 'the idiot' Biden. America needs to get the Democraps outta office B4 the USA becomes socialist/communistic!

Do you know that all EU (European Union) countries can be named being socialistic? What is wrong with a social democratic system? I would appreciate reading more details from your side. I cannot say if your politicians are far away from the people, but the problem I see is that you do not have real alternatives. What makes democrates different to republicans? IMO, luli123, wot the EU does is their business; I can't speak for them as America's future is first & foremost for me. The Democraps pushed their agenda thru w/o letting the constiuients vote; I was always under the impression that the people voted to tell the politicians who serve us wot we want...not for radical programs that NOBODY wants (the overwhelming majority don't want these programs). Obummer is just a big talker spewing empty promises at America's expense. If Obummer is such a genius, then why is the economy slumping, hi unemployment, & slipping confidence in Obummer & his Democrap buddies? The Democraps always use their lame excuse that it was Bush's fault; how many more yrs are they gonna use that excuse as it only shows their weakness & insincerity?

Michael2015 from my side I regularly see the same game played in the US. Nearly no argumentation, but mostly polemic from the side of the supporters of the Republican Party. Sorry, this is my impression. There is polemic and creation of fears, but seldom a fair debate. "The democrats bring the country down, have a look what they are doing with our great country." It is easy to control and to find out that it is not like that! Of course, president Obama and his government are facing enormous problems which are the result of other persons politics and understanding how the USA should act. Politicians have to serve the people. Very well stated, it should be like this in a good democracy. By the way you are better served than you think to be. Unfortunately 'the people' is not a homogeneous group of persons. There are a lot of different opinions or convictions. Unfortunately mostly the political minority in a country claims to talk for the people or wants to be the people. You have free elections you can promote your opinion and your way and proposals how things should be done. As a convinced European I hope that there will not be a copy of Bush II politics, at least in the nearest future. We have to face this risk and be prepared, because, as I mentioned at the beginning, it is again and again the same game on the other side of the Atlantic Ocean. Thanks |

I agree that everyone has a different opinion, but I'm entitled to mine as well. I make NO apologies for being conservative. I think America is going to hell in a handbasket very quickly! When Harry Truman was Prez, he had a sign on his desk that read, 'The buck stops here'. Unfortunately, Obummer chooses to pass the buck & blame others for HIS failures...Obummer needs to wakeup & smell the coffee as HE'S Prez now & needs to take responsibility for HIS actions since HE's in charge. How many yrs is he gonna blame others? I would'nt wanna B in his shoes, but HE chose his path, rite? When Jimmy Carter was Prez, he could never get a handle on the economy either...as a result of his failures, he was a 1-term Prez as the people voted him out after just 1 term. It took a strong Prez (Ronald Reagan) to cleanup his mess. History is repeating itself w/Obummer in charge.

The main differecs between the Repubiccan Party and
democrae is that the Dems think that spending money for ineffictive socical programs as a way to even out the wealth amoung the masses while the, The Eliets, have their plalciatial mansions and say they worked for it and are entitiled to it. The Republicans believe that Big Govt should be elimated and that States should have more right in their say of how the Political Party, in Power, affects the Soventry of the State. The Republican believe it you worked to get it it should belong to you. Don't get me wrong. I love the US but we are a Republic and not a Democracy. If we were each person's single vote would be counted to electe politican inseatead of electorial colleges. |

I've been a Republican for 40 yrs & I'm FAR from being an elitist or remotely being considered 'RICH'. Democraps like to say that Republicans are the Party of the rich; if that's tru, then it's also fair to say that Democraps are the Party of 'tax & spend foolishly'! No amount of $ taxed will spend us into a robust economy. When I was a boy, I learned that U don't spend Ur way into wealth...the opposit is tru (see the current deficit). None of the first stimulus has created any lasting jobs (see the current unemployment rate). If, by any means, did the first stimulus worked, then where are the jobs & why does the unemployment rate keep rising? The people were led to believe that the rate would'nt B any more than 8 %; it's at 9.6% instead. When Obummer went into the WH, the rate was less than 8 %. W/Obummer heading into halfway thru his Presidency, should'nt his glorified stimulus have begun to sho positive results by now? How much longer are we to hear his big talk & believe his empty promises?
Altho I don't like the direction Obummer is leading this country to, I do agree Paul that EVERYBODY needs to register & vote for the candidates of their choice! |

I do not know if Mr. Obama is a good president. History will teach us, later.
Relating to Paul's point of the programs I cannot give an assessment, because different cultural backgrounds have formed us. Social programs are the most expensive position in EU budgets. For us it is normal for you it is strange. For us it is serving the people and solidarity. Not long ago I had a discussion about political leadership with soldiers in Afghanistan (US and German soldiers). We discussed the question if it is negative that more and more political leaders serving in highest positions have never been soldiers themselves and even more have never served in a combat mission. This was quite interesting. By the way, have you both also collected negative votes for your participation in this thread? |

I don't kno about either Paul or U, but I have'nt...everybody is entitled to their own opinions. Mine just happens to B conservative. However, I like reading opposing views, too. To put it bluntly, personal opinions are like assholes...EVERYBODY has one!

I've never believed in sitting on my hands, watching the world go by, letting things happen regardless, or not standing up for my opinions. If U don't stand up for Ur convictions, isn't it settling for the status quo? Even if a person has a differing opinion, voice it rather than being too timid. Whether U are a Democrap, Republican, or wotever, at least voice Ur opinion rather than waiting for any govt to think & decide for U. At that point, are U a human being anymore?

Election time is also experienced here in Manila this month of October where we get to vote our barangay captains and their kagawads so you can see a lot of banners and memorabilias being given out by candidates.
