How far ahead do you book?

In my advertisement I state pretty clearly that I need at least 24 hours notice when setting up a booking. I do this because it gives me time to set up my security measures, and gives me time to prepare mentally. But I still get a lot of messages asking "ARE YOU AVAILABLE RIGHT NOW/TODAY?!??!"
I understand that some agencies have a within-the-hour policy, but as independents or agency girls, do you prefer to book ahead or take calls as they come? Or, I guess, what is the "usual" way it is done? |

I like to send the lady an email and see if she is availabe for a date on a spcefic date and time. If I am told that all that is needed is a couple of hours then I let the lady know I am not interested in seeing her on that day. I have only seen a couple of ladies in the Sacramento area, most of them do not stay active and a lot do not answer email or phone.

Personally I would rather the client contact me at least a day before. This ensures that I can be prepared. I never like to be caught up in the middle of something only get a call from a client calling to say that they want me.
