Michael2015, your problem is, you cannot discuss, because you have no arguments. You have a dogma, this dogma is the greatness of "your" USA.
In my opinion this reputed greatness is a fairy tale. As Kitty mentioned, we have different opinions. If we do not want to convince each other, then do not let us have a discussion. Simply step back. But you cannot simply step back, this is against your dogma. Consequently you become aggressive and irrational. You even come over Germany. Luli123 was reputed here being an East German communist. He is neither from former East Germany and certainly not a communist. I am from Austria. Anyway, believe what you want to believe. When posting this you are disqualifying yourself. Can you imagine that persons stay in a foreign country for business reasons? We were not forced to leave Europe, because nobody wanted to have us. What an incredible nonsense is this, and how can you affirm such a nonsense! If their is a strategy behind your words, then it is a strategy of defaming persons, with whom you cannot argument, because of your background and education. Being born in the USA is neither an education nor a qualification! May be it is even a handicap, because your local impression of this world and planet is farer and farer away from reality. |

Michael2015, your "original thoughts" are very limited:
You respect your lady. You do not want to have pity because of your physical handicap. You blame your ex wife. Finally you post these "thoughts" again and again for years, already. Honestly I have a problem with this expression "original thoughts". Is it an "original thought", when I personally stand for an extreme opposition against US foreign policy? Is it an "original thought", when my respect for persons is limited, who have a big mouth in a forum, but no ass to protest in the streets against the hypocrisy in their country. Dohm, thank you for your opinion, but there is one point I must make clear.
There is very seldom the one and only truth. We active members here must be careful with discussions and comments controlled by persons who blindly follow their local and national political positions. They have never learnt being critical neither do they have time nor interests for an open minded research. They blindly follow. In former times media informed and doing this they educated. I many countries working in forwarding informations has gone down to become nothing else than a business. Newspapers and other media do not inform correctly, but forward what customers want to hear, read and see. "We are a great nation, we are democratic, we are the good ones, we have the good bombs does not matter how many innocent persons are killed." The governments of countries like the USA and Israel on the one hand are not less fanatic, corrupt and manipulating than the government of Iran for ex. on the other hand. |

Kitty and Hollie, I thank you for your engagement in this thread. Interesting to read your statements and comments which I can echo nearly completely.
Kitty's statements and conclusions are so right from my biased long time expat farang point of view. There are not enough Kittys who can open a lot of Thai women's eyes (escorts or not) to get rid of their naivety. In Phuket, not long ago, I met a man from Europe at Phuket Airport.
