How and why I started (Pt.2)
Bear in mind that around this time I was working a mind-numbing factory job of stacking wood. My job was to stack the furniture pieces neatly - as they came out of the machine that coated them with paint. To make matters worse, I was working through a really greedy agency that was keeping 33% of my actual earnings. The ploy was the promise of eventual full-time employment, by the furniture company, after at least 3 months of working through the agency. Needless to say, I was not the most motivated of workers in there. I did what I had to, but I did not display that eagerness of the aspiring worker. I thought I ought to be capable of doing something better than working a non-lucrative factory job. I desperately anticipated the return of school, but at the same time my financial woes left me uncertain of my ability to continue with school. I had maxed out my credit cards the year before, while hoping for a miracle, and my miracle was yet to materialize.
I began to withdraw, as I do in hard times. In times of desperation, it is best to be uncommitted, unattached. Commitments and attachments hold back the individual, they discourage bold steps. It would be unfair keep a secret from a loved one and telling the truth doesn't really help certain matters.
I broke up with my girlfriend, I had some good reasons, that were no fault of hers, but the last straw was my financial situation and the consequent desperation.
I continued to communicate with the 'lady' (I'll call her di). At some point, she had given me a date and the loose agreement was that I'd serve at a pool party that would be attended by her friends. I would be showing off my physique in my swimming suit, during the party, and then I was to spend the night making good love to 'her'. The agreed payment was about $1000 CAD.
