I have a degree in Child Development. I have been doing research on the side of effects of masturbation as sign of sexual abuse and mental abuse. There is a lot of information on these subjects. But, the research stops at adolesence. No mor funds to learn what happens to these kids after hormones start. It is very possible that these individuals had their sexual desires under controll while being treated. But, once they reach an arbitrairy age they are removed from the study group. NO more treatment nor more records of behavior. I do believe it is the indivdual's choice to continue with theri abberant behavior but, I'd like to know: Why doesn't the government do something more. Chid Protective service is a joke. They don't pay families enough to raise these kids, CPS doesn't have enough staff to do constant checks of families or children much less their placement homes. The government has a responsibility to treat and track the peolple who refuse to conform to what is acceptable behavior. What people do in their own house and bedroom, with a willing partner, is no ones business. But, when it affects others and innonencents, it is a failure of the government to provide society with propper information and research. Why the hell do you think Anna Nicole and Paris are on the front page of ever paper and magizine? The government and media control what you know and what you think. This is a real problem. I disagree with all the medical info that states these people are not responsible for their behavior. People who do this type of activity willing choose to become a perpertator. My opinion on this is based on the events I have gone through. I am a recovering alcholic and drug addict. I choose to live that life, even thought I knew it wasn't acceptable. My father was a spouse and child beater. When I was 8 yrs old my father beat me so badly that I was out of school for a week. On that day I decided that there had to be a better way. I have never hit a woman or child. I don't believe in it and I choose not to. The only thing I have not been permenatly able to over come is my addiction to tobbaco, but I'm working on it. Posted on: 03/31/07 14:01
